Centenario

We at BKWLD got tasked with the immense and wonderful project for the upcoming COPA Centenario soccer match here in the United States. This turned out to be much more high-profile and stressful than we anticipated, but the results were well-worth all of the hard work.

I partnered with our CTO Robert Reinhard to build the front-end and the back-end of this site. Utilizing Laravel and our own bespoke content management system we built this glorified splash page, which is just a small preview of what is to come.

Due to the significant traffic the site was expecting, we made use of Fastly to absorb most/all of the network requests and handle all of the site caching. The result was a fantastic site that stayed online throughout the peaks of traffic that hit it when COPA was announced to the world.

Unfortunately, the live site is not available any longer. Because of the nature of the site, and that it was only for the 2016 tournament, the site was taken down. It's a shame because so much work went into designing and building the site.
